Things to Do
Widely known for its skiing, hiking and
golf opportunities, the area offers a rich array of
possibilities for enjoying the outdoors. The Superior
National golf course (1 mile from Cedar Cliff) is the
most beautiful course in Minnesota, perhaps in the Midwest.
There is a trail connecting into hundreds of miles of
cross-country ski trails just across Highway 61 from
the County Road 34 entry. You can ski down the road
from the house to the trailhead in five minutes.
The network of roads leading to some of
the most spectacular fall leaf color anywhere in the
country begins five minutes from the house.
Fishing lakes both within
and at the edge of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area can
be reached by car in as little as 15 to 30 minutes.
There are hundreds of lakes from which to choose, many
with public launching areas for boats. Or take a cruise
on Lake Superior with Grandpa
Woo Excursions.
